HydroKidz Learn To Swim Award Stage 6

HydroKidz Learn To Swim Awards are divided into progressive stages from stage 1-7. Each stage has a clear list of outcomes which should be learned in order to earn an award. HydroKidz award are the perfect way to congratulate your child whilst keeping up with and taking pride in the progression they make as they make their way through the stages. The HydroKidz Learn To Swim stages help to develop the most important and fundamental skills your child will need to be confident, competent and safe in the water.

At the end of HydroKidz LTS Stage 6 your child should be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of preparation for exercise
2. Sink, push off on side from the wall, glide, kick and rotate into backstroke
3. Sink, push off on side from the wall, glide, kick and rotate into front crawl
4. Swim 10 metres wearing clothes
5. Swim front crawl to include at least six rhythmical breaths
6. Swim breaststroke to include at least six rhythmical breaths
7. Swim butterfly to include at least three rhythmical breaths
8. Swim 25 metres, choice of stroke
9. Perform a ‘shout and signal’ rescue
10. Perform a surface dive
11. Exit the water without using steps
